Yes. Some students have worked 50 hours a week while enrolled and done well. Others have worked third shift remaining active at home and at church. Graduates have completed the program who were single moms. Your success depends on your motivation and willingness to do what it takes to excel.

Belhaven University has designed our programs with the military in mind. Military personnel can attend classes at one of our six campus locations or participate in our online program. We offer a tuition discount for military and participate in the Yellow Ribbon program. We also participate in other veteran's benefits programs.
Classes meet one time a week for four hours each evening. Sometimes, classes are offered on Saturdays to accommodate the needs of the students. Evening classes start at 6:00 pm. Undergraduate classes will take five or six weeks to complete - depending on the individual course. Graduate courses meet for five to ten weeks - depending on the course. There will also be team project meetings outside of the classroom where class members work on group projects.
No, we are not in a position for provide quality child care while you attend class. This is one area where the support of your family is critical.
One of the unique and most cost effective aspects of a Belhaven University education is that your tuition charges also cover the use of the required texts used in your classes. You will be loaned your textbooks prior to the start of class so you can prepare for your first night of class. When the class is over, just return your textbooks and pick up the textbooks needed for your next class! Belhaven University's Atlanta - Dunwoody campus is two blocks south of Perimeter Mall on Ashford-Dunwoody Road - just inside Loop 285. We are within a few blocks of the Dunwoody MARTA Station. Classes are held in Suite 130 of the Ashford-Perimeter Building. Parking is free. For complete driving directions visit the Location page. You will need to be able to get to the campus by 6:00 pm for the start of weekday evening classes.
Yes! Our Student Services professionals will help you get registered for your classes each term. One of the first services we provide is the development of an Academic Plan that outlines which courses you will need to complete in order to receive your degree from Belhaven University. Before you enroll in your first class, you will know how much of your previous college work will transfer to Belhaven and which classes you will need to take in order to graduate. How quickly you graduate will depend on your time availability and willingness to work.
Many of your classes will require a computer in order to complete your assignments. However, if you do not own a personal computer or do not have a program required to complete work in a particular class, we have you covered. There is a computer lab on the Atlanta - Dunwoody campus that can accommodate up to 12 students at a time. These computers are available to Belhaven students anytime the offices are open. That includes both normal business hours and during instructional time!
The office is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 6:00 pm. On Friday, the office is open from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
